Session 6: Cult Smashing and Consequences
Bloodstock '26
The party arrived at the cult compound ready for a fight. Death bets were placed β Twiggy sat at 11/4 odds. Given what followed, those odds were generous.
The Royal Fuck Up Lives Up to Its Name
Twiggy couldn't help himself. In what can only be described as a career-defining moment of poor judgement, he "royally fucked up" β representing the team name with uncomfortable accuracy.
The assault on the cultist compound did not go as planned. The party was forced to pay off a guard for their freedom, surrendering their backpacks and weapons in the process.
The Long Walk Home
The party returned to Newhaven with their heads down and feet dragging. All except Twiggy, who presumably maintained his usual energy.
Regrouping
With the cult temporarily beyond their reach, the party turned to other business:
- Reggie wrote home to daddy requesting funds. Entrepreneurial spirit, meet family money.
- A goblin-hunting mission surfaced: 1,000 gp reward, with a 200 gp bonus if party members scored more kills than Barry and Bazza combined.
The refreshed quest board:
| Quest | Client | Reward | Location |
|---|---|---|---|
| Courageous adventurers | Darles Carwin | 250 gp | Haywood Village (1d travel) |
| Retrieve family heirloom | Lady Marissa Squire | 250 gp | Squire Estate (3h travel) |
| Sleuth adventurers | Graham Hobnoblin | Bread and biscuits for a month | Hobnoblin's Baked Gooderies (0h travel) |
Where we left off
- Cult compound assault failed β weapons and gear lost
- Party back in Newhaven, licking wounds
- Goblin hunting mission accepted (1,000 gp + 200 gp bonus)
- Reggie waiting on funds from home
- Three quests still on the board
